  • North Alabama Shoals Hospital Announces Psychiatric Residency Program

    MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala., – A new Graduate Medical Education (GME) program has launched at North Alabama Shoals Hospital. Officials with North Alabama Medical Center have announced the establishment of the new psychiatric residency program that began July 1. The hospital welcomed five new first-year, as well as five second-year psychiatric residents to campus. The four-year process GME program will culminate with the hospital’s first graduating class scheduled for the summer of 2026.

  • North Alabama Medical Center Partners with Tennessee Valley Surgery Group

    FLORENCE, Alabama (July 19) – North Alabama Medical Center has announced a partnership with Tennessee Valley Surgery Group, bringing its total number of current employed surgeons to six. The addition of another general surgeon this week, along with another one set to start in the fall will make North Alabama Surgery the premier surgical group in the region.

  • North Alabama Shoals Hospital Urology Now Offering UroLift Services

    April 07, 2023

    Officials at North Alabama Shoals Hospital have announced the addition of the UroLift treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The procedure, which is the only one of its kind in north Alabama and the surrounding areas, utilizes tiny implants to lift and hold the enlarged prostate tissue out of the way so it no longer blocks the urethra. There is no cutting, heating or removal of prostate tissue.

    North Alabama Shoals Hospital is launching a new service line and welcoming in a new physician to kickstart the process. Bradley W. Wargo, DO, arrived on site on Monday, April 3, and will begin seeing new patients as part of the new Interventional Pain Management service. Dr. Wargo comes to NASH from Memphis, Tenn., where he ran a successful practice.
